Last winter, it seemed as if every other New Yorker that I encountered had on one of these cool funky looking knit hats. Some were some kind of animal, some were just wild!
I wanted to get one really bad & they were everywhere but I did not want to deal with picking lint balls out of my locks. Just because it’s cool doesn’t mean it’s cool for everyone.
I spotted Lauryn Shipp while walking through central Park after leaving Strawberry Fields.
It was a very crisp December afternoon but I was in a walking mood.
Lauryn was really friendly, and gave me a moment of her time on the day before the Snowpocalypse ravaged NYC.
What an unforgettable few days that turned out to be…
Anyway, I wonder if the knit hats will be a big again thing this year. You know NYC sets that pace.
