Last winter, it seemed as if every other New Yorker that I encountered had on one of these cool funky looking knit hats.  Some were some kind of animal, some were just wild!

I wanted to get one really bad & they were everywhere but I did not want to deal with picking lint balls out of my locks. Just because it’s cool doesn’t mean it’s cool for everyone.

I spotted Lauryn Shipp while walking through central Park after leaving Strawberry Fields.

It was a very crisp December afternoon but I was in a walking mood.

Lauryn was really friendly, and gave me a moment of her time on the day before the Snowpocalypse ravaged NYC.

What an unforgettable few days that turned out to be…

Anyway, I wonder if the knit hats will be a big again thing this year. You know NYC sets that pace.
