Not only are they black, they are also from Rotofugi.
This is a test shot using some new gear. I recently copped a Sekonic L-358 light meter & a WhiBal card; so far I’m impressed with both!
We will see if these new thingys help me produce better quality images & sale some of my images in iStockphoto.

I don’t know if you bought your light meter new, but I wish I had known you were in the market for one because I have one (a Sekonic L-398M) that I bought and used maybe twice–and I *probably* won’t use it after all of these years. Since I went digital, I kind of now rely on the built-in meter and histogram… They *say* the light meter isn’t necessary anymore with the evolution of these two functions. I’ve thought about selling the light meter, but as soon as I do, watch me end up needing it. (smirk)
I was just looking at some of Canon’s more advanced cameras just yesterday–lusting after them. Sigh! No way for me to justify ever having one of them. 😉 YES, I know you’re a Nikon guy… Loser. JUST kidding!
